The Texas Center for the Judiciary receives a Court Improvement Program Training grant from the Supreme Court of Texas Permanent Commission on Children, Youth and Families. The Court Improvement Program is tasked with implementing broad, statewide initiatives to improve the timeliness and quality of child-protection court proceedings as well as support the goals of safety, permanency and well-being for children in the child welfare system. The CIP Training Grant at the Texas Center develops and promotes training and judicial leadership in child welfare cases, develops and trains on best practices, and encourages cross-discipline collaboration. In addition, the Training Grant promotes the availability of legal resources for judges to support effective decision-making in child welfare cases.
