Child Welfare

The 2023 Child Welfare Conference is a continuing judicial education conference developed by the Children's Commission with the Texas Center for the Judiciary. All judges who hear civil child welfare case are welcome to attend.

The program will start with a Pre-Conference on the morning of Monday, October 23 focused on assessing and addressing the well-being of children of all ages, from infants to young adults. For their attendance, participants will earn 3 hours of continuing education credits and 3 FV hours. The full Child Welfare Judges Conference will begin at Noon on Monday with lunch and registration and end at Noon on Wednesday, October 25. For their attendance, participants will earn 14.25 hours of continuing education credits and 13.25 FV hours.

Judges who attend the optional pre-conference and the full conference will earn up to 17.25 hours of continuing education credits and 16.25 FV hours.
