The DWI Court Team Basic Training and DWI Court Team Advanced Conference are continuing judicial education programs designed especially for DWI Court Teams by the Texas Center for the Judiciary’s DWI Curriculum Committee. This program is generously funded by a grant from the Texas Department of Transportation.
The DWI Court Team Basic Training is designed for new DWI Court Teams and new members on established DWI Courts. The curriculum remains the same from year to year to ensure all members receive the same basic, fundamental knowledge on addiction, supervision, and sanctions and incentives.
The DWI Court Team Advanced Conference is open to both new and existing DWI Court Teams.
This year we’re also offering an optional IDA Training on Wednesday afternoon from noon – 5:00 p.m. The APPA Impaired Driving Assessment (IDA) session will focus on how to administer, interpret, and use the assessment instrument. The training is designed for those on the team that conduct the assessments, but everyone is welcome to attend.
