Continuing Education Requirements
Under Texas Government Code §74.106 and the Rules of Judicial Education from the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals,
court coordinators working in district courts or county courts at law are required to complete
16 hours of continuing judicial education (CJE) each fiscal year.
Note: This rule only applies if your official title includes the word "coordinator."

Waivers
Court coordinators may request a waiver if their judge or commissioners court certifies—on the required form—that no state or local funds are available. Any requests for a waiver should be made in writing to the Texas Center for the Judiciary at least 30 days prior to the court coordinator's CJE deadline.
